Okaayyy, this is my next little venture into the land of digital painting.
If you're a Half-Life fan you'll recognize this image right away. It's a headcrab zombie. I chose this partly because Half-Life is awesome, and also party in anticipation of the Black Mesa mod, which you can find out about here: www.blackmesasource.com
I created this image entirely in Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 using a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet. Total work time is.. well wayyy too much for me to have been counting.

Vision
Originality Technique ImpactI'm not very good at critique but I wanted to give you a comment none the less. It's a very powerful picture and your use of shading and light makes it very atmospheric and creepy. The blood seems a tad overdone, but then if you take into account that headcrabs essentially eat your head, I guess it does work. The left arm seems a bit awkward, not sure if it's too skinny or short, but it looks a bit off for some reason. I love the wasted-away look of the hands, however and your rough style is complimentary to the subject matter. Definitely a fave ^^
